The following two programs are offered to the community free of charge through All About Cats Rescue.

All pets must be treated with kindness and compassion. Children will be able to recognize cat and dog body language, which is one way their pet shows its feelings. We examine the “rules” of pet ownership through a one-hour slide presentation, including pet ownership, responsibility and kindness. A hands-on activity and fun worksheet follow the presentation. (4-10 yrs)
Program: 75 minutes Limit: 20 children
Respecting Animals, Inside and Out
We start with pets in the home and then go outside to the “wild” animals living right in our backyard – squirrels, raccoons, owls, honeybees, and much more. Habitats and lifestyles of these animals are examined through a one-hour slide presentation. Children learn to respect all animals inside and outside the home –outside animals have feelings, too! A group puzzle and fun worksheet follow the presentation. (4-10 yrs)
